Dyfed-Powys Police has released a statement on behalf of the mother of the London terrorist attacker.

On Wednesday afternoon, Adrian Ajao drove a car down the pavement of Westminster Bridge killing two pedestrians and injuring many more.

He then entered the grounds of the Houses of Parliament and was confronted by police officers, one of which was stabbed to death.

A total of five people including the attacker have died as a result of the terror attack.

Police searched the Carmarthenshire home of the attacker's mother and step father last week and confirmed that no arrests were made.

Janet Ajao has released the following statement.

Mrs Ajao said: “I am so deeply shocked, saddened and numbed by the actions my son has taken that have killed and injured innocent people in Westminster.

“Since discovering that it was my son that was responsible I have shed many tears for the people caught up in this horrendous incident.

“I wish to make it absolutely clear, so there can be no doubt, I do not condone his actions nor support the beliefs he held that led to him committing this atrocity.

“I wish to thank my friends, family and community from the bottom of my heart for the love and support given to us.”
