The Carmarthenshire home searched after the London terror attack belongs to the attacker's mother.

Police visited the house where Khalid Masood's mother lives along with properties in Birmingham and London on Thursday, March 23. 

Officers say eight arrests have been made following searches in Carmarthenshire, Birmingham and London but Police have said nobody living at the Carmarthenshire house was a suspect.

Dyfed-Powys Police said it is "increasing patrols", adding the public may also see "an armed presence at certain large events".

A spokeswoman said: "The Wales Extremism and Counter Terrorism Unit, supported by officers of Dyfed-Powys Police, have today provided assistance to The Metropolitan Police, following yesterday's incident in London.

"In doing this, they have conducted a search of one property in Carmarthenshire - this search has concluded.

"The occupants are receiving appropriate support. They are not suspects and have not been arrested."

The force added there was no threat to the area.

Those killed in the attack include PC Keith Palmer, Aysha Frade, who worked at a London college, Mr Cochran, 54, from Utah and a 75-year-old man.
