Ammanford police officers have carried out multiple drugs raids in the town today.

Officers, who were acting on concerns from local residents, found class B drugs on three properties raided, resulting in one cannabis warning, one reported for possession and one arrest for possession with intent to supply.

The drugs warrant involved officers from neighbourhood policing, uniform response, drugs, CID, dog section and specialist entry officers.

The police say investigations are on-going.

Ammanford Inspector Steve Williams said: "Drugs target some of the most vulnerable in our society and has a detrimental effect on the community.

"Police will not tolerate drugs use and will act positively regards such. Police require the public support in these matters and to report instances of concern so we can act accordingly and target our resources and activity in the right areas.

"Therefore we ask that you inform us of any intelligence you may have by using 101 or ringing Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

"To those involved in the supply of drugs and the misery it causes - we will keep coming for you."
