Ammanford police officers continue to offer advice and support every Friday from their mobile policing unit on Quay Street.

PCSO Jonathan Crayford said the mobile van gave shoppers the opportunity to have a casual chat with an officer.

"We are here to offer seasonal advice and be a listening ear to the general public," he said.

The mobile police unit is stationed at Ammanford market between 10am and 12 noon every Friday.

Members of the public who wish to speak to a police officer any other time of the week can go to the town's police station on Foundry Road.

The opening hours of which are, Monday-Friday 8am to 8pm; Saturday and Sunday 9am to 2pm and 2.40pm to 5pm and bank holidays 9am to 5pm.
