A Betws grandmother has spoken of her pride after seeing two of her great-grandchildren become martial arts champions.
Lynfa Evans from Betws is great-grandmother to Tyler and Hellena Ford who at just eight and five respectively have between them won more than 50 tournaments in the space of a year.
Undefeated kickboxer Tyler has won gold in 47 national and international tournaments including Welsh, English, Scottish and Irish Champion, national and British Champion and Dutch Open Champion.
Tyler's younger sister Hellena is also a Welsh and British champion as well as being the youngest European kickboxing champion in history.
Great-grandmother Lynfa said that although she gets nervous before they take part in a competition she is full of pride to see their sporting achievements.
"When they come to visit me they like to show off their skills and even though they frighten the life out of me I am incredibly proud of them."
The siblings father 39-year-old Anthony Ford, himself a multiple world kickboxing champion said his children work very hard to have got where they are today.
"I am so happy to see my children follow in my footsteps and I am very proud of what they have achieved," said Anthony.
"We are also grateful to their great-grandmother, whom they fondly call Nanna Ammanford. She means the world to them and has been by their side all their lives."
