CYCLISTS have been asked to consider necessity of riding in the diversion route through Llangunnor on the B4300 this weekend due to the closure of the A48.

Dyfed-Powys Police, working in partnership with partner agencies, are urging cyclists to be aware of the disruption in the area of Llangunnor and the B4300.

The area is known as a place where cyclists gather together and set off on ‘ride-outs’ in groups, but due to the expected disruptions this weekend, police are asking cyclists to consider using areas outside of the affected route during this period.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible, and this is equally applicable to cyclists.

The A48 will close at 7pm tonight and will remained closed until 6am on Monday, October 17.

The safety of all road users is the priority, and minimising any expected delays, therefore everyone’s co-operation and understanding is crucial.
