TWO people were taken to hospital after a three-vehicle collision in Tycroes yesterday evening.

A lorry and two cars were involved in a collision on the A483 Pontarddulais Road around 6pm, leading to a road closure to be put in place.

A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance said: “We had a report that three vehicles were involved in the collision. It looks like we conveyed two patients to Morriston Hospital.

"One was taken to hospital with potential chest pain and the other had pain in the lower leg."

Fire crews were also at the scene for two hours.

A fire service spokeswoman said: "We had the call at 5.54pm and left the scene at 8pm.

"They released one female from the vehicle and she was conveyed to hospital by ambulance. Cutting gear was in use."
