VALE Plus, an independent day service provider based in Barry, is one of the charities that Soroptimist International Barry and District is supporting this year.
Bet Francis, on behalf of the members, recently had the enjoyable task of presenting Steve Thomas, one of the founder members, with a cheque for £830, which was raised at a fundraising Welsh Evening, together with a cheque for £100 which was donated by the Canton Male Voice Choir, who performed at the event.
A group of members spent a very enjoyable and uplifting morning at Vale Plus and were extremely impressed with the happy and caring environment. Steve thanked the club for its welcome donations, which represented a substantial contribution towards the target for their minibus appeal.
