TRAP-based bottled water firm, Brecon Carreg, has teamed up with children's charity Follow Your Dreams to help youngsters get creative and stay hydrated.

Brecon Carreg is recruiting children to help redesign its Kids' Pack range as part of a new competition.

It wants children across the UK to submit ideas for a revamped label for its bottles.

The three winners will see their designs on shelves in September 2016.

The 300ml bottles are designed to appeal to children and have colourful labels with various activities including a water fact sheet and jokes.

For each entry to the competition, Brecon Carreg will donate £1 to Follow Your Dreams, a charity that motivates children with disabilities to follow their dreams.

Diane Blackmore, CEO of Follow Your Dreams, said:

“Getting children involved in the process of creating a product is a great way to introduce them to a potential career; this competition could help create the designers of the future.

"We are excited to work with Brecon Carreg on such a creative and inspirational project, and especially one with a healthy product at its core.”

Jenna Bissell, marketing manager at Brecon Carreg added: “Promoting healthy hydration to children has never been more important.

"With the recent sugar tax announcement it’s time people started making the healthy switch and educating children about the benefits of drinking water.

“We’re getting children involved in the design process by running the competition to find our ‘BC Apprentice’. What better way to introduce them to drinking water than having a bottle created for children by children?”

Children under the age of twelve can enter the competition by heading to breconwater.co.uk/bcapprentice, downloading the entry form and following the instructions on the webpage.
