GREEN-fingered Towy Valley school children have been busy planting trees with the help of Natural Resources Wales.
Year five and six pupils at Llandovery's Ysgol Rhys Prichard planted fruit trees at Cwm Rhaeadr Forest with NRW who also handed over trees for the pupils to plant an orchard at the school.
This is the latest outdoor activity run by the school as part of their ongoing partnership with NRW.
During their day at the forest the school children learned about energy and the environment, how much carbon was stored in trees and calculated their carbon footprint.
Year five pupil Ryan Williams said: "We had a fantastic time and it helped me understand more about the environment. It is always fun to learn outside, especially when it started to snow."
