STORM Jonas may well have been more forgiving on this side of the Atlantic than it was in the United States, but Wales has still be battered by strong winds and heavy rain.
Downpours on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning left parts of the Towy Valley under water with the River Bran in particular bursting its banks and flooding stretches of the A4069 between Llangadog and Llandovery.
Firefighters attended the scene to assist motorists who became stuck on some stretches of road.
Both the upper and lower Towy regions remain on flood alert following warnings issued by the Environment Agency.
