ON FRIDAY, Guardian editor Steve Adams marked the release of his book Murder at the Star revealing who he believes carried out the gruesome 1921 murder in Garnant.

The event, at Glanaman Community Education Centre, saw Steve reading from the book before taking questions from a full audience.

"I always wanted to launch the book to an Amman Valley audience and it was fantastic to have so many of the people who have helped with information along the way present," said Steve.

"There was so many questions, and I think I convinced all of those present that I had got the right man."

To win a signed copy of Murder at the Star, simply answer the question:

"What was the name of the murdered shopkeeper?"

Send you answers to Murder at the Star, South Wales Guardian, 37 Quay St, Ammanford, SA18 3BS, by noon on Monday, December 21.
