THERE is plenty going on in Ammanford this week to mark the start of the festive season.
Here is the full schedule of events for Wonders of Christmas festival this weekend.

10am to 4pm - Christmas Tree Festival with trees decorated by local charities and organisations on show plus display of entries in the Do you want to build a snowman? children’s competition.
Saturday

Exhibition and judging of entries in the Gingerbread bake-off competition

1pm to 7pm - Game stalls
1pm to 7pm – Face-painting and Glitter tattoo stalls
2pm to 7pm – Street entertainers
2pm to 7pm – Santa’s Grotto

Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of people dressed as snowmen
1pm – Registration with noses and hats available to purchase
3pm - Final count at the Piazza
3.30pm - Grand parade leaving the Piazza and travelling to the Pensioner Hall with Father Christmas in a sleigh and the Ammanford Town Band
7pm - Fireworks
