CLLR Dewi Enoch is the new chair of Carmarthenshire County Council.
He was unanimously chosen as chair for the year 2007-08 at the annual meeting while Cllr Hugh Richards was unanimously elected vice chair.
Cllr Enoch, who lives in Tycroes Road, Tycroes, Ammanford, and is originally from Capel Dewi, Ceredigion, is chair of Governors at Tycroes CP School and a member of Llanedi Community Council and the Advisory Panel of the Department of Constitutional Affairs.
His other interests include Credit Unions, the Co-operative Movement and all types of sport.
