Residents in Carmarthenshire are being encouraged to sign up to the new Dyfed-Powys Community Messaging System (DPCM) to get the latest information from their local neighbourhood police teams.

Ammanford Police Sergeant Kerry Scoberg said, “This new system is another way we can use to share important information with residents.

“We still use local meetings, our twitter account and the local newspaper, but this new system will allow us to send important information that may be urgent to people directly.

“When people register they select the type of information they receive and they choose whether they want text message or emails.

“We will be sharing updates on what the local teams are doing to tackle issues that have been raised by residents, crime prevention advice and information as well as reports of scams or suspicious behaviour and appeals for information.”

You can sign up for information on www.dpcm.co.uk or speak to a member of your local neighbourhood police team for more information.
