LLANELLI magistrates have fined several motorists for speeding in 30 miles per hour zones.

Brian Alan Dorritt, aged 42, of 14 Folland Road, Garnant, was convicted in his absence of driving at 38mph at Fforest in November and was fined £200 with three points, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Matthew James, aged 29, of 95 Ffordd Cambria, Pontarddulais, admitting driving at 59mph through Carmarthen Road, Fforest in November and was fined £255 with six points, £85 costs and a £26 victim surcharge.

Catrina Michelle Jenkins, aged 36, of 198 Cwmaman Road, Garnant, was fined £200 with three points, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge after being convicted in her absence of driving at 35mph at Glanaman in November.

Lesley Wilkes, aged 48, of 29 Park Street, Brynaman, was also fined £200 with three points, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge after she was convicted by the magistrates of driving at 35mph in Glanaman in October.

Also fined was Stephen Thomas Auchterlonie, aged 48, of 156 Cwmaman Road, Glanaman, who was fined £160 with four points, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge after pleading guilty to driving through Saron in November at 41mph.

Peter Vaughan Jones, aged 56, of 206 Heol y Gors, Cwmgors, was fined £105 with three points, after admitting to driving at 35mph at Gorslas in November. He must also pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Travelling at 39mph at Capel Hendre, resulted in a £80 fine with three points and a £20 victim surcharge for Angela Rees, aged 35, of Frondeg, Maesquarre Road, Betws, after she admitted the offence, which happened in November.

Finally, Georgina Thomas, aged 31, of Pantyffynnon, Brynaman, was fined £60 with three points, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge after she pleaded guilty to driving through Fforest at 38mph in November.
