A LLANDYBIE man has been fined by Llanelli magistrates after he admitted he was in possession of herbal cannabis when stopped in Llanelli in June.

Ben Philip Bush, aged 27, of 75 Ammanford Road, had 0.4g of the Class B drug at Trostre shopping centre on June 27. He was fined £160 with £180 criminal courts charge and £160 costs. He must also pay a £20 victim surcharge. The drugs will be destroyed.

LLANELLI magistrates have fined a Brynaman man £75 after he was caught with a quantity of cannabis.

Paul James Wilson, aged 33, of 20 Brynbach Road, Upper Brynaman, admitted he was in possession of the class B drug at Brynbach Road on July 18. He must also pay a criminal courts charge of £180, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

A PENYGROES woman has admitted that she assaulted another woman and has been fined £110 by Llanelli magistrates.

Carrie Ann Jones, aged 33, of 46 Gorsddu Terrace, assaulted Michelle Phillips by beating her at Cross Hands on June 27.

Jones will also pay compensation of £300, a £150 in criminal court charge, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

A LLANDYBIE man has been fined and ordered to pay back duty after he admitted to not having vehicle road tax.

Arthur Daniel Timothy Williams, aged 33, of 46 Woodfield Road, used his motor vehicle at Johnstown in March when it was unlicensed.

Carmarthen magistrates fined him £47 with £10.84 back duty.

AN AMMAN Valley man has been fined by Llanelli magistrates for driving without insurance.

Rory Michael Thomas, aged 59, of 31 Stepney Road, Garnant, admitted he had no insurance when he drove through Newtown in December and was fined £110 with six points, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
