A 62-year-old Tycroes man has appeared in court to deny impersonating an undercover police officer when he falsely accused a female motorist of speeding.
Raymond John Hughes, of 55a Parc Gwernen, Fforestfach, confronted driver Emma Pocock after she came to a stop outside a property in Pantyffynnon Road, Ammanford, on March 23.
Andrew Smith, prosecuting, told the court that Hughes was alleged to have told Ms Popock he was an undercover Special Constable and accused her of travelling at 50mph in a 30mph zone.
Hughes denied the charge and elected trial by jury.
He will appear at Swansea Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Friday, June 26.
