A NEW set of homes could be built behind Amman Valley Hospital if the Carmarthenshire County Council planners agree.

Enzo Homes Ltd are hoping that a re-submitted application for new homes in Glanaman, will be signed off on, despite an earlier attempt being turned down last February, due to access and parking issues.

The application features plans to demolish 68 and 70 Tircoed Road, Glanaman and to construct for 14 new semi-detached homes and a new estate road there at to the rear of the old and vacant hospital building.

The site occupies part of the open fields set to the rear of the hospital and there is currently no road access to there. This would be addressed by the demolition of the Tircoed houses, creating room for an estate road.

The original application was refused by the council, due to highway reason- namely parking and pedestrian access issues.

JCR Planning Ltd, acting on behalf of Enzo Homes, states that the revised application resolves this issue.
