A DELIGHTED Coleg Sir Gâr student has been presented with a signed Swansea City shirt by club legend Lee Trundle after winning this year’s “Respect is” competition.

Cory Gleaves, a die-hard Swans fan, was chosen out of hundreds of hopefuls who were asked by the college to tweet them a message starting with “Respect is...” and using the hashtag #CSGRespect.

Childcare student Cory won the competition with his line: “Respect is thinking and acting in a positive way about yourself and others #CSGrespect.”

The shirt, which was donated by Swansea City FC and signed by the players in this year’s squad, was presented to Cory by official club ambassador Trundle, who was a huge favourite with fans during his playing days.

Competition organiser Jamie Davies said: “It was nice for Cory to win it – and it was a pleasure to have Lee Trundle as guest of honour at the college to present Cory with the shirt.

“Lee toured the whole campus and gave countless autographs and posed for more than 100 selfies,”said Mr Davies.

“It was a great day.”

Cory said: “I’m chuffed to bits I won the shirt. I’m a season ticket holder and watched the boys lose away at Leicester at the weekend, so winning the shirt has really cheered me up.
