DYFED-Powys Police has released an image of a pensioner captured on a stolen camcorder in a bid to reunite the equipment with its rightful owner.

The camcorder, along with a number of other items including jewellery and handbags, was recovered following an investigation into recent burglaries in the Force area.

The image shows a bespectacled elderly lady at home, with a photograph on the wall – possibly of her grand-daughter following university graduation.

A number of items recovered during the investigation have already been identified and returned to their rightful owners.

However, police have been unable to trace the owners for a number of the recovered items.

Police Sergeant Brian Murphy said: “We are releasing this image in the hope that someone will recognise the lady and come forward to claim their property.

“We have no idea where the camcorder was stolen from, or when, but hopefully this action will help us to reunite the camcorder with its rightful owner.”

If you are the owner of the camcorder that holds this image, please contact police in Fishguard by dialling 101.
