The streets of Ammanford came alive at the weekend as residents flocked to celebrate St David's Day at the Gwyl Ddewi festival.
The two-day festival, on Friday and Saturday, saw food, craft and plenty of entertainment to mark the day, and organisers were delighted with the public response.
"The festival went really, really well," said Alex Smith, of the Ammanford Enterprise Partnership.
"There were lots of people in town and the feedback we have had from stallholders and local businesses has been very encouraging.
"We were a bit concerned that the weather might let us down. but the rain stayed off and both days proved to be a great success.
"Everybody had a really good time and it was brilliant to see the town buzzing."
There was also prizes to be had and Kathleen King scooped the Star Baker title and £100 first prize for her fabulous Welsh castle cake.
Meanwhile, Alex Jade and Rachel also earned themselves £100 after coming out on top at the karaoke contest.
Both prizes were donated by the Ammanford Enterprise Partnership.
The sale of cakes entered into the baking competition raised an impressive £120, which the Ammanford Rotary Club donated local causes.
Organisers wished to thank Menter Bro Dinefwr, Ammanford Rotary Club, Ammanford Town Council and Carmarthenshire County Council for the support.
The event was primarily funded by the Welsh Government.
