Andrew Roberts celebrated his tenth anniversary at The Plough Hotel and Restaurant in Rhosmaen by raising a staggering £10,696 in aid of the cancer charity Tenovus.
Guests at the charity ball enjoyed a two-course hot buffet and entertainment provided by an Abba tribute band along with an auction under the hammer of BJP's John Eirian Davies.
"It was a fantastic night and we are very, very pleased to have exceed our £10,000 target," said Andrew.
"It was a great achievement and we all worked very, very hard to make it such a success.
"It was great to welcome the Llandeilo branch of Tenovus who were over the moon with the donation.
"The event was to celebrate our tenth anniversary and we are delighted to have been able to give something back to the community.
"I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their kind donations and all the help in making the evening such a success."
The Llandeilo Branch of Tenovus has raised over £400,000 for the charity in the last thirty years.
