HELP and practical advice for dealing with financial and personal problems is on offer next week at Ammanford Job Centre.

The centre has organised a Change for Life event and Jobs Fair on Friday, February 27, aiming to offer support and advice to anyone with challenges caused through personal circumstances or a health condition that may affect their ability to access DWP benefits and services.

A host of agencies and groups will be on hand to offer practical help including Gwalia, PRISM, Amman Valley Women’s Aid, NACRO, Family Information Service and Credit Union, along with employers including Pinnacle Renewables, PHS, Right Recruitment, Swanton Care and Penguin Finance.

Advice will be offer to help people who may require support to enable them to access services and benefits, prove eligibility for these as well as support to maintain their finances, manage money, improve numerical skills and use banking services

There will also be advice on life events such as debt management, homelessness, alcohol dependency, redundancy and being a lone parent.

The event is open from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
