A round-up of some of the cases to have appeared at Llanelli Magistrates Court in past week or so.

STEALING earrings from a Llanelli store has resulted in a 12-month conditional discharge for an Ammanford woman.

Rachel Louise Hinton, aged 40, of 113 Myddynfych, admitted she took three pairs of earrings, worth £12.50, from Asda on August 12, last year.

She also admitted to drunk and disorderly behaviour at Myddynfych, on February 7. Llanelli magistrates also ordered her to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

AN AMMANFORD man has been ordered to keep the peace by Llanelli magistrates.

Michael John Simons, aged 32, of 14 Brynteg, Capel Hendre, was bound over for the sum of £100 for six months after he admitted to breaching the peace at Ammanford in November last year.

Magistrates ordered he keep the peace for six month, especially towards Francis George Young.

A second charge of harassment was withdrawn.

AN AMMNFORD woman must attend 10 hours of alcohol activity sessions after she pleaded guilty to assault.

Llanelli magistrates made Kelly Ann Clark, aged 29, of 120 Dol y Derwen, the subject of a community order after hearing that she assaulted Paul Simon in Ammanford in January.

She must also pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

LLANELLI magistrates have conditionally discharged a Glanaman man who admitted to assault.

Jonathan Craig Thomas, aged 28, of 1 Glynderi, assaulted Amy Leanne Lane by beating her at Ammanford on January 29.

He must pay a £15 victim surcharge.

A LLANDYBIE motorist, who drove at more than twice the limit through a stretch of road that was under a temporary traffic order, has been fined £350 by Llanelli magistrates.

Dane Paul Bush, aged 27, of 75 Ammanford Road, was recorded doing 85 miles per hour on the A48 eastbound trunk road at Llanddarog in June. The limit on that stretch at the time was 40 miles per hour.

He pleaded guilty and his licence was endorsed with six points. He must also pay costs of £85 and a £35 victim surcharge.
