IT IS your worst nightmare – going for what seems like a routine operation to ending up with a botched up nose job.

That was reality for a Tycroes mum who is set to feature on Channel 5’s Botched up Bodies.

Mum of three, Alison Walters, initially went to hospital about an ear infection.

Speaking on the show Alison said the surgeon suggested that if he removed the bump on her nose it would help with the ear infection.

Alison went ahead with the surgery, but when the surgeon removed the bandages her nose collapsed.

Alison, married to husband Evan, has three children Nia, Ashley and Arron.

Speaking to producers she said the surgeon admitted that he had removed too much bone and that he would fix the problem using a collagen sheet made from Buffalo Hide.

After several operations Alison was left with a bump on her nose and breathing problems.

The 38-year-old decided to apply for the show to get the problem fixed.

Alison, a full time carer for her son Ashley, who has severe Asperger’s syndrome and ADHD, wanted her nose re-shaped and her breathing issues sorted.

Under the care of craniofacial surgeon Niall Kirkpatrick, who is based at The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and The Consulting Suite, Alison finally got her perfect nose.

The whole process was filmed by the programme, which is set to air this Thursday on Channel 5 at 10pm.

A spokeswoman for the series said, “Our Love of the body beautiful has spawned a billion pound business.

“From the top of our heads to the tip of our toes, there’s nothing that’s off limits when it comes to cosmetic surgery.

“But with all surgery comes risks and many people are being left with Botched up Bodies.

“In this series we follow the country’s top surgeons as they set about repairing the damage.”

The show is currently casting for series five.
