A brief round-up of some of the cases to have gone before Llanelli magistrates in recent weeks.

LLANELLI magistrates have fined an Ammanford man £235 after he admitted to assault.

Raymond Anthony Lovell, aged 57, of West Winds, Pantyffynnon Road, assaulted by beating Dawn Lovell at Ammanford on December 26.

He must also pay costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.

AN AMMANFORD man has been fined £75 by Llanelli magistrates for possession of cannabis.

Damian Hughes, aged 39, of 113 Myddynfych, admitted he had 0.12 grams of the class B drug in Ammanford on December 16. He must also pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

A FINE of £110 was the result for a Pontarddulais woman who used threatening words or behaviour in Carmarthen in December.

Jill Morgan, aged 49, of 47 Pantiago Road, admitted the offence and Llanelli magistrates also ordered her to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

A DREAFCH man, who failed to wear his seatbelt while driving through Nantgaredig in June, has been fined £80 by Llanelli magistrates.

Keith Bond, aged 69, of 44 Bron Yr Ynn, admitted the offence and must also pay costs of £85 as well as a £20 victim surcharge.

A PONTARDDULAIS company has been fined £700 after Llanelli magistrates found them guilty of failing to provide the police with the identity of a driver thought to have committed an offence.

Sash Hardware Ltd, of Hendy Estate, Hendy, did not enter a plea to the offence, which happened in Bancyfelin in August. They must also pay costs of £85 and a £70 victim surcharge.
