A round-up of some of the cases to go before Llanelli magistrates in the past week or two.

AN AMMAN Valley woman has been placed under a six-month conditional discharge by Llanelli magistrates after she admitted to assault.

Tanya Louise Duffill, aged 30, of 32 Maesybont, Glanaman, beat Gary Lee Lewis in Ammanford on November 22. She must also pay costs of £30 and a £15 victim surcharge.

LLANELLI magistrates have fined a Towy Valley man £250 with six points after he admitted to driving with no insurance.

Robert Thomas Richardson, aged 49, of Oak cottage Taililaris, Llandeilo, committed the offence in April in Talilaris. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £25 victim surcharge.

Magistrates also fined a Tycroes man £240 after he admitted he also drove with no insurance. Mark Hutchings, aged 37, of 32 Derlyn Park, was also ordered to pay £85 costs, a £24 victim surcharge and six points were added to his licence.

A TAIRGWAITH motorist has been banned from driving for a year after admitted to drink driving.

Rebecca Louise Howells, aged 32, of 18 St Davids, had 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when stopped in wind Street, Ammanford on November 8. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Llanelli magistrates also fined Howells £215, with £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

TWO motorists have been found guilty by Llanelli Magistrates of failing to notify of a change in ownership of a vehicle.

Christopher Ahearne, (no age) of 47 new Road, Ammanford, was fined £200, with £90 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Dena Jayne Cox, aged 31, of 4 Ardwyn Road, Upper Brynaman, was also fined £200 with £90 costs and a£20 victim surcharge.

Neither entered a plea.
