HEAPS of festive fun is promised at the Amman Valley Women’s Aid’s White Ribbon Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, December 6.

From handmade crafts to delicious foodie treats, the fayre is the perfect chance to not only for Christmas shopping but also for the chance to support one of our most important services.

Now it’s fourth year, the Women’s Aid fayre is a fun day that also raises vital funds for the work the charity does in the area, including The Recovery Tool kit programme.

It also highlights the national White Ribbon campaign, which raises awareness of the problems of domestic violence.

The day, held at The Pensioner’s Hall, Ammanford, has become a popular feature on the festive calendar and with stalls galore, a visit from Santa and a seasonal performance from Llandybie Male Voice choir it promises to be an event not to be missed.

The doors open at 10am and the day begins with a chance to shop and sample just what many local businesses have to offer.

Get the perfect gift by visiting stalls from Fruity Soap Shop, Duckin’ Records, Celery Crafts, Cariad Glamour Accessories, Simply Ceramics, Pethau Tlws and Little mac designs, to mention just a few.

Pamper yourself by stopping by the many health, beauty and wellbeing stalls including Neal’s Yard Remedies, Forever Living, Perfection by Susan, Daine Fotographix and take some time out for some beauty therapies and a perhaps a psychic reading.

Find your favourite Christmas treat by sampling delicious offerings from Fresh Bites, The Happy Gingerbread Man, and Higgins Homebakes- discovering tasty Christmas wares, made and produced locally.

Santa will be arriving at 11.30am and is hoping to meet local children, who can visit him for free as well as receive a gift from him as well.

And look out for a chance to learn a new skill with free circus workshops, which are on between 10am and 1.30pm. Children will also love the badge making and children’s activities.

Make sure you buy a raffle ticket for a chance of winning one the amazing prizes on offer, which this year include a family ticket to Dan-yr-Ogof, family ticket to Cross Hands Cinema, Tarot card reading, a selection of toys courtesy of Eve’s Toyshop, Tickets for Fleetwood and Mac at Swansea Grand Theatre, and a family ticket to Blue Lagoon.

Amman Valley women’s aid will also be hosting an information stall, which will help people learn about the vital work they do.

And the live entertainment will once again be provided by Llandybie Male Voice Choir who will be performing some seasonal favourites from 1.30pm.
