TWO new homes could be created from one vacant house in Tycroes if Carmarthenshire County Council planners approve the scheme.
Applicant Mr S Dale is seeking approval to convert 15, Ammanford Road, into two self-contained flats.
The property is currently empty and had been for some time before being purchased by Mr Dale, who says agents MTH Associates in their report to the council, is regularly approached by the public seeking affordable rental accommodation.
The plans would see the two flats benefitting from two bedrooms, kitchen and living spaces and independent, dedicated access and , states the report, would ‘make use of a vacant dwelling providing much needed affordable rental property’.
The plans would also see the existing garage and outbuildings at the property demolished for additional off-street parking and manoeuvring space.
