Ammanford residents will once again be asked to roll up their sleeves as the Welsh Blood Service returns to next month.

The service will be calling for life-saving donations when it sets up camp at the Christian Temple in Heol Wallasey on Wednesday, November 19.

The people of Ammanford and the surrounding areas are known for the generosity within the service, with 71 residents taking the time to give blood on the last visit.

That figure showed an increase on previous visits and the service will be hoping for a similar turn-out once again.

“We really appreciate those donors who give of their valuable time when they come to donate,” said Welsh Blood’s Elizabeth Walker.

“The people of Ammanford always provide a good turnout.”

Donor sessions are set to take place between 10am and 1.30pm, and 3pm and 6.30pm.
