A Glanaman mum-of-three suffering from severe PMT has admitted biting the face of one of her in-laws during a family feud on a drunken night out in Carmarthen.

Lindsey Hannah Leslie, of 8 Tan Y Gelli, pleaded guilty to assaulting Janey Davies in the Boar's Head pub in Lammas Street on Saturday, June 21.

The 35-year-old pushed Ms Davies’ head into a jukebox and bit her cheek during a booze-fuelled row.

Llanelli magistrates were told how Ms Davies is the partner of Leslie's boyfriend's brother.

Prosecution solicitor, Ellie Morgan, told the court how an argument broke out between the two women after they had been drinking most of the evening.

“There is a long-standing family feud," Ms Morgan said.

"Because of this, an argument broke-out in the pub.

“Leslie pushed Davies head against the jukebox and bit her face.”

The court was told that Ms Davies suffered only superficial injuries.

Defence Solicitor, Robin Reed, said: “This is the second time she has been in a fight while out in Carmarthen.

“She has stressed that she will avoid going there in the future.

“She is very sorry for what she has done.”

Mr Reed described how Leslie had been diagnosed as suffering from severe PMT and had a serious hormone imbalance.

"She also suffers with depression," Mr Reed said.

“She is not using this as an excuse for her behaviour, but these were all major contributors to why she acted like she did.”

Magistrates sentenced Leslie to a 12-month community order.

She was ordered to attend 10 activity sessions under supervision of a probation officer.

Leslie was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £60 victim surcharge and an £85 costs.

Magistrates also ordered that she £75 compensation to Ms Davies for the injuries to her face.
