A GORSLAS man has been remanded on bail after he denied charges of harassment.

Christopher Mark Greene, aged 49, of Green Lodge, Church Road, is alleged to have made numerous phone calls and threats over the phone to Geraldine Greene over a three-day period in May.

After pleading not guilty at Llanelli Magistrates, Greene was remanded on conditional bail until January 1, 2015, on the basis he does not interfere with witnesses or go within 100 metres of Cynheidre Isaf, Five Roads.

 

LLANELLI magistrates have remanded an Amman Valley man on bail after he was charged with criminal damage.

John Noble, aged 51, of 1 Ceidrim Road, Garnant, is alleged to have damaged crockery of a value unknown at Ammanford on September 7. No plea was entered and the case was adjourned at the request of the defence.

 

DRIVING offences have cost a Llandybie motorist six points and a £150 fine.

Charlene Clare Johns, admitted she drove both without insurance and without a valid MOT certificate through Ammanford in May. Llanelli magistrates also ordered her to pay costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.

 

AN AMMANFORD man who has been found to be too ill to carry out a community order has instead been placed on curfew after Llanelli magistrate heard his case.

Paul Biella, aged 27, of 26 Park Venue, Capel Hendre, had been ordered to carry out unpaid work by Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire Magistrates court in October last year, but could not fulfil the order due to ill health.

Llanelli magistrates amended the order so that Biella must now be under curfew between 8pm and 8am until October 28 as well as be monitored by way of an electronic tag.

 

A SWANSEA Valley woman who destroyed a mop and a door panel has been handed a 12-month conditional discharge at Llanelli Magistrates Court.

Naomi Lynne Davies, aged 33, of 36, Heol Y Coedcae, Cwmllynfell, admitted damaging the mop, belonging to Jason Compton, in Cwmllynfell in August.

She also pleaded guilty to destroying a door panel belonging to Carmarthenshire County Council and admitted failing to surrender to custody while on bail.

Davies must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £15 and £1.99 compensation for the mop.

 

A TUMBLE man has had his community order revoked by Llanelli magistrates after he admitted breeching the terms.

Tomos Wayne Evans, aged 19, of 27 Pen Y Parc, failed to comply with a previous community order and so was resentenced for the original offence of assaulting Rhian Evans by beating at Tumble in March.

The new order stipulates that Evans must attend 10 days alcohol activity sessions and carry out 50 hours of unpaid work within the next year. He must also pay £30 costs.

 

LLANELLI magistrate have fined two motorists for not wearing seat belts.

Gavin Mark Porter, aged 32, of 98 Dol Y Dderwen, Ammanford, was fined £80 with £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge after he admitted to riding in the front seat of car at Station Road, Ammanford in March.

Sean Thomas John Williams, aged 19, of Bethesda Road, Tumble, was found guilty of driving through Pantyffynnon, Ammanford on April 24, without wearing a belt. He was fined £200, with £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £20. He was not in court and entered no plea.

 

AN AMMANFORD man who stole meat from a town centre supermarket two days on the run has been fined £100.

Jason Malcolm Owen, aged 34, of 21 Colonel Road, Betws, admitted he took meat, of a value unknown, from Ammanford Co-op on August 31 and then meat products worth £41.46 on September 1. He must also pay £20 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

 

DRIVING without insurance has cost an Ammanford man £600 and six penalty points after the case was proved by Llanelli magistrates in his absence.

Andrew James Whitfield, aged 30, of 39 Wernolau Road, entered no plea to the offence that happened in Ammanford in March. He must also pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
