TWO NEW shops may be on the way to Llandeilo if Carmarthenshire planners give the go ahead to plans submitted to them.

Matthew Hickman, of Glantowy, Bethlehem, has applied for full planning to convert two flats at 3 Market Street Llandeilo, into two new retail units.

The application observes that converting the flats, one of which is vacant, into shops would enhance Llandeilo’s economy and would be more in keeping with the other buildings in the area.

CROSS HANDS Food Park may continue in its expansion if permission for a new food processing building is granted by Carmarthenshire planners.

JBCH Developments of Cross Hands are looking to construct a single storey food grade industrial building with associated two storey offices and a service yard and car park on land at Heol Ty Newydd.

A LONG VACANT dairy would be demolished and replaced with new offices in plans submitted to CCC planners.

In plans drawn up by Tai Dinefwr Ltd, Betws, the dairy, situated at 3 Llandeilo Road, Cross Hands, would be taken down and four new office units, along with parking and one light industrial unit would be built in its place.

A LLANDEILO business is hoping to gain permission from Carmarthenshire County Council planners to replace windows at their store.

G Vaughan Roberts wants to replace three bay windows and boarding below them at Peppercorn, which is situated at 5 Kings Road.

CARMARTHENSHIRE Council is to consider two applications for planning permission for building work at a Pontarddulais site.

Mr S Poole looks for permission to build a new dwelling on land adjacent to 6 Heol Y Plas as well as planning for a two-storey extension and new first floor balcony at 6 Heol Plas.

Planners will also consider plans for a single storey conservatory at Four Winds, Church Road, Llanedi from Mrs and Mrs Lewin and a new home and temporary siting of a caravan at Llwynteg, Llannon- applied for by Caine Thomas.
