MARIE Curie Cancer Care are looking for volunteers in the Amman Valley to offer to help look after their charity tins and daffodil boxes in shops and business in the area.

Volunteering in this way is very flexible, and many people find they can easily fit it in around their current commitments.

The volunteers would be responsible for collecting in full collection tins/boxes from local shops, and counting up the monies that are to be banked in your local Natwest.

One Welsh volunteer said, “I’ve been doing this role for a couple of years now and I am amazed at how the pennies soon add up to pounds.

“I take great pleasure in looking after my round, and always tell the shop owners about how they are making a big difference to the amount of money we are raising to support the local Marie Curie Nursing Service.”

Marie Curie has big plans to increase the amount of tins they have across West Wales and as a result will need support from the public to help look after these tins.

If you would like more information about volunteering in this way or you own a shop or business and you would like one of our boxes please contact Hannah Leckie on 01792 461 435 or Hannah.leckie@mariecurie.org.uk
