AMMANFORD fitness company Funky Pump has joined forces with a local gym as they continue to expand and make an impression on the health conscious community.

The successful fitness franchise move on to bigger and better things as a recent merge with Ammanford’s Primal Strength and Fitness Gym in Unit 2 Cwmllwchwr Mill on Dyffryn Road provides an altogether enhanced fitness experience for the Funky Pumpers of Ammanford.

The latest move to Primal plays a crucial role in Funky Pump’s growing relationship with the community.

Ammanford has already played host to the company’s latest Guerrilla Fitness Challenge in July which saw a large number of entrants push themselves to their physical limits.

The fitness classes, running in the area since 2012, have welcomed a vast amount of members, prompting the need for expansion to satisfy their growing needs.

A new location will now provide ample opportunity for new members to participate within the classes as Primal’s advanced training facility will compliment Funky Pump’s know-how and innovative foresight within the fitness industry.

Funky Pump Director and fitness instructor Chris Ware who has trained a diverse range of clients including former world boxing champion Enzo Maccarinelli says: “I am really enthusiastic about our merge with Primal and am looking forward to see what the future holds for us. Our classes have taken flight in Ammanford and as a company we love working with the Pumpers within the area.”

“As a home grown fitness company from Swansea, we are always looking to work alongside other local businesses and our new relationship with Primal now means that we will be able to use both of our expertise to create a really exciting timetable.”

The Funky Pump classes will take place every Monday and Thursday at 6.15pm and every Tuesday at 7.15pm.

A variety of other classes available at the Primal gym include Guerrilla Fitness Bootcamp, TRX Training, Ab Circuit, Freestyle Kick Boxing, Parkour, Functional Fiit, Strength Conditioning, Funky Pump Bag Circuit, Funky Pump Lite and Funky Pump Kids for children aged 6 and above.

The nightclub inspired, high intensity boxing based fitness classes which are suitable for everyone aged 16 years and upwards, provide a unique take on your standard training sessions as local DJs play live house music in order to energise each participant into making the most out of the 1200 calorie burning workout.
