THE family of a 27-year-old Ammanford man who was knocked down and killed on the A40 between Llandovery and Llanwrda in the early hours of Sunday morning have paid an emotional tribute.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned into his death of Nathan Carl Jones, of Tirydail, which happened at about 3.20am.

"Nathan was a devoted fiance, father, son and brother who loved and lived life to the full," the family said in a statement.

"He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him."

They added that they were "grateful for everyone’s kindness and generous support at this difficult time".

Details of the funeral will follow in due course.
