AMMANFORD Post Office re-opened its doors at 1.30pm this afternoon after a health and safety issue had delayed its normal opening.

A Post Office spokesman told the Guardian the late opening had been due to "a health and safety issue surrounding some building work being undertaken at the branch which required a contractor to visit before the branch could open.

"The branch opened at 1.30pm and is now operating as normal," he added.

"We would like to apologise to customers for the late opening of our Quay Street branch on Monday, December 9, and for any inconvenience this may have caused.

"This was due to a health & safety issue. The branch opened for business at 1.30pm.”
