Ammanford man killed on A40

POLICE are investigating after a 27-year-old man from the Ammanford area was knocked down and killed on the A40 between Llandovery and Llanwrda in the early hours of Sunday morning.
They said the man – who has not officially been identified – was involved in collision with a single vehicle at around 3.20am and died at the scene.
"The male is a 27-year-old from the Ammanford area and his close family have been informed," said a spokesman.
"Police are appealing for witnesses who were travelling along this particular stretch of the A40 to contact Carmarthenshire Roads Policing team on 101.”
