Women fined for failing to clean up after their dogs

TWO women have been fined £75 for failing to clean up after their dogs.
Council environmental enforcement officers issued a fixed penalty notice to a woman following an offence behind Cwmamman Education Centre in Glanamman.
A woman was also fined for an offence in Llandybie.
Failure to pay the fines could result in prosecution in the magistrates court and a fine of up to £1,000.
Executive Board Member for Environmental and Public Protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “Our enforcement officers carry out patrols across the county, seven days a week, and at various times of the day. Anyone caught not cleaning up after their dogs will be fined.
“Not only is dog mess a nuisance if you step in it but it can cause serious health problems. The council is determined to clean up Carmarthenshire.”
