SHANE Williams has revealed that not even the threat of further earthquakes will deter him from returning to Japan for another season.

The former Wales and Ospreys wing, pictured left, has signed a further one-year deal with Mitsubishi Dynaboars – and will be heading back out to Japan again in May.

“To be honest, I got fairly used to earthquakes while we were out there last year,” he told the Guardian.

“You’d wake up at 4am and the bedroom would be shaking.

“0ne that hit Tokyo registered 7.3 on the Richter scale. We were just 40km away and the aftershock was considerable.”

Shane’s wife Gail will be staying in the Amman Valley this time.

“Both our kids are now in school so it won’t be really practical for them to live out there,” he said.

“They’ll be coming out for visits as often as they can.”
