BOTH sides in the libel trial involving Towy Valley blogger Jacqui Thompson and Mark James, chief executive of Carmarthenshire County Council, made their closing submissions in the High Court on Wednesday.
Lawyers representing Mr James and the council said Mrs Thompson had carried out a “wholly improper” campaign against the local authority and its staff over the past six years.
Lawyers for Mrs Thompson maintained her case against Mr James and the council was one of “state versus citizen”.
Mr Justice Tugendhat reserved judgment on the case until an unspecified later date.
