Pantyffynnon footpath opening delayed

THE opening of the Pantyffynnon Link footpath looks likely to be delayed as the project has fallen behind schedule, Ammanford town councillors have been told.

The trail is due to be officially opened on March 2, but Councillor Colin Evans revealed gates had still not been fitted, fences not erected and surfacing not laid down.

“There’s still work to do and that March 2 date is looking a bit optimistic,” he added.

“In fairness, the weather has been absolutely atrocious.”
