THE possibility of organising another huge gathering of Santa’s elves is being seriously considered by Ammanford town councillors.
In November, a total of 762 elves turned the town’s Quay Street into a sea of red and green – although the record has still not been ratified by the Guinness Book of Records.
Town councillors have floated the possibility of staging another gathering at next November’s Christmas switch-on.
“It was a big occasion,” said Cllr Jonathan Davies.
Cllr Chris Jones suggested stalls could be set up in Quay Street if the event was re-staged.
Organiser Gail Jones, of Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd, also did not rule out the possibility of another elf gathering.
“The event really brought the town together,” she said.
“I’m still awaiting news from the Guinness Book of Records and expect to hear from them shortly.”
