COUNTY council workmen have removed around 30 tons ofmaterial which has accumulated underneath the Maesquarre Road Bridge, Betws community councillors have been told.
Community clerk Cerith Griffiths said the situation would continue to be monitored by the local authority as well as the Environment Agency.
“I’ve lived there all my life and I’ve never seen such a congregation of stones under that bridge before,” commented Alderman Arnallt James.
