CWMLLYNFELL Post Office is poised to move in January.
Post Office Ltd has announced plans to move the branch from its present location at 58 Gwilym Road to CK Supermarket at 18 Gwilym Road.
Now Post Office chiefs are inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on its proposal to modernise and extend the opening hours of the post office in its new location.
“The Cwmllynfell branch is currently operated by a temporary sub-postmaster and we have been working hard to find a more long-term solution for our customers in the area,” said Post Office field change adviser Lisa Barton.
“Our current sub-postmaster has tendered their resignation, however, I am pleased that we have been successful in appointing a new agent to enable us to maintain services to our customers.
“Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term. The relocation of Cwmllynfell Post Office allows us to maintain access to services in the area and improve existing facilities”.
She said the newpost office would provide a level entry, extended opening hours, a cash machine and a combined Post Office and retail till.
Consultation will close on December 31. Submissions can be made by post at National Consultation Team, Post Office Ltd, PO Box 1138, St Albans AL1 9UN, via email to consultation@postoffice.
