Howie Davies

PC Howie Davies resides within the community of the Towy valley and has conducted his duties predominately within Carmarthenshire, which offers the opportunity and advantage to understand the needs and concerns, including language, of those who reside within the Towy section.

Inspector Paul Williams

Inspector Paul Williams joined Dyfed-Powys Police in June 1991. He was originally stationed at Llanelli before transferring to Llwynhendy. He was promoted to Sergeant in Ammanford in 1996, where he served for several years before he transferred back to the Llanelli area. In 2001 he became the Divisional Training Officer for Carmarthenshire, and then qualified to the rank of Inspector. He was promoted to Lampeter as Section Inspector in 2004 before coming back to Carmarthenshire in 2006. He covered the Human Resources role in Carmarthenshire as Temporary Chief Inspector before starting in Ammanford as Neighbourhood Policing Inspector in 2008. His favourite aspects of the role are helping people and making a difference to the community.

Sergeant Mike Melly

Sergeant Mike Melly has fifteen years service all of which has been spent within the Carmarthenshire division. He is a resident of Carmarthenshire and believes that this helps him to understand the local issues and concerns raised within the area. With the support of his neighbourhood policing team he hopes to develop a higher profile and working relationship with this neighbourhood community.

Sergeant Teresa Ross

Sergeant Teresa Ross is a local resident from Ammanford and is married with four children. She joined Dyfed-Powys Police in 2000, where her first posting was to Carmarthen town. Teresa went on to work as a Detective Constable for three years, covering the Carmarthenshire area.She was promoted to Sergeant in January 2006 and is also qualified to Inspector level. Teresa is now the local Sergeant for the Ammanford Neighbourhood Policing Team and is looking forward to working closely with the communities in which she has lived and served as a police officer.

PC Vernon Thomas

PC Vernon Thomas is the Neighbourhood Police Officer for Llandeilo in the Towy section and has spent fourteen years in the Police Force. He says, "I have been brought up in Llandeilo and I feel that this makes me sympathetic to the needs and expectations of the community."

PC Sarah Yelland-Davies

Sarah Yelland-Davies was born and brought up in the town of Llandeilo and has been a Police Constable with Dyfed-Powys Police since September 2003. She served the community of Llanelli for four years, and in 2007 worked in the rural neighbourhoods of Llandeilo and Llandovery. Sarah says "since transferring to Ammanford and joining the Neighbourhood Policing Team, I am excited with the prospect of working with a dedicated and focussed team of officers and partner agencies, who are determined that the public’s needs and expectations in their area are at the forefront of neighbourhood policing’s priorities".

PC Stephen Morris

PC Stephen Morris was born and bred in Tycroes, Ammanford. He joined the Police service in 2001 having served previously as a Special Constable for 5 years. He says, "Having lived in Tycroes for most of my life I feel that I have an in depth knowledge and understanding of what matters most to the local community. I have also enjoyed several years playing rugby for Llandybie, which has also enabled me to build a large network of key community contacts. My aim is to continue to work in partnership with other agencies to tackle the issues that matter most to our communities."

PC Tony Davies

PC Tony Davies joined Dyfed-Powys Police in 1985 and has been stationed in Crosshands since 2003. He took up the role as a neighbouring police officer in March 2008.

PC Wyn Davies

PC Wyn Davies joined Dyfed-Powys Police in June 1995 and has been stationed in Ammanford and Crosshands. He took up his current role as a neighbourhood policing officer in January 2007.

PC Lawrence Holcombe

PC Lawrence Holcombe is originally from Llanelli and joined Dyfed-Powys Police in 2009 where he was stationed in Cardigan. He is now stationed at Ammanford where he has responsibility for the Quarter Bach ward. He is a keen rugby player and plays for Felinfoel Rugby Club and is a Scarlets supporter. He looks forward to making an impact in the Ammanford area and will look to tackle local issues.

PCSO Craig Roderick

PCSO Craig Roderick joined Dyfed-Powys Police as a Special Constable in 2007 where he was stationed in Ammanford. In March 2010, he joined Dyfed – Powys Police as a Police Community Support Officer where he was stationed at Newcastle Emlyn, Pencader and Brecon. He is now stationed at Ammanford where he has responsibility for the Quarter Bach ward. PCSO Craig Roderick will continue to work with partner agencies to meet the needs of the community.

PCSO Stephen Griffiths

PCSO Stephen Griffiths was as a hospital porter for seventeen years, before joining Dyfed-Powys Police in January 2007. He is enjoying the new challenge of working in Llandovery.

PCSO Roger Anthony

Roger Anthony is a native of Tycroes. He joined the Dyfed-Powys Police Cadets in 1970 at the age of 16 and in 1973 as a Constable. He has served 35 years in the police service as a Constable and Sergeant, and after retiring rejoined the force as a Police Community Support Officer.

PCSO Sharee Treharne

PCSO Sharee Treharne joined Dyfed-Powys Police in November 2004 as a clerical officer within the Admin Section in the Criminal Justice Unit. She joined as a PCSO in March 2009 and is stationed in Ammanford covering the town, Pontaman, Tirydail, Bonllwyn, Betws and Pantyffynon. Sharee’s hobbies are playing hockey and netball and she has represented the two sports for the county in the past. She also plays hockey and netball for Dyfed-Powys Police. On a daily basis she supports front-line policing, and engages with members of the public with the purpose of reassuring them with the police presence

PCSO Alan Davies

PCSO Alan Davies has worked for Dyfed-Powys Police as a PCSO since October 2006. Previously he served for the Royal Air Force and more recently worked in retail. He was born and brought up in the Gwendraeth valley. He says, "Working as a PCSO I want to contribute to the policing of neighbourhoods in the area through highly visible patrol with the purpose of reassuring the public."

PCSO Hannah Jones

PCSO Hannah Jones is from Ystradgynlais and has been in Dyfed-Powys Police since March 2010. She is based at Ammanford police station and covers Glanamman, Garnant, Brynamman and the surrounding areas. She says "I am thoroughly enjoying every aspect of my job and am currently learning to speak Welsh. High-visibility patrol will be my main priority, encouraging links with the local community and making people feel safe."

PCSO Jade Miller

PCSO Jade Miller studied police sciences and was a special constable with South Wales Police for 18 months.

PCSO Stuart Davies

PCSO Stuart Davies joined Dyfed Powys in January 2005 where he served as a special constable. He then started as a PCSO in January 2007 and worked in Kidwelly until November 2007 when he moved to the Crosshands section.

PCSO Ryan Howells

PCSO Ryan Howells joined Dyfed-Powys Police in 2003 as a clerical officer within the Central Ticket Office in the Criminal Justice Unit. In June 2009 Ryan then became an Incident Handler/Dispatcher within the Operations Room, HQ where he worked before joining as a PCSO in November 2011. Ryan is stationed at Ammanford Police station as part of the Amman Neighbourhood Policing Team.

PCSO Sophie Lambert

Sophie Lambert joined Dyfed Powys Police in February 2012 posted in Ammanford Police Station as a Police Community Support Officer. Prior to joining the force full time I was a special constable for 3years covering the Ammanford area in my spare time. Before joining Dyfed Powys Police I worked for Tesco for a period of 6years. I am a well rounded individual who likes to get involved. I enjoy working with partners, community organisations and general public in identifying local issues and tackling them, to help create a safe and confident community.

PCSO Arwyn Rees

Arwyn Rees is a local resident from Ammanford who joined Dyfed Powys Police in January 1999 posted in Ammanford as a Traffic Warden. In November 1999 he became a Counter Clerk at the front counter based in Ammanford Police Station until November 2009 where he then became a Customer Service Advisor based in Carmarthen. I am looking forward to return to the Ammanford area as a PCSO to once again serve the Community of the area.

PCSO Shaun Davies

Shaun Davies served in the Royal Navy for seven years before starting his current role as a PCSO in 2012. PCSO Davies said "I am hoping to make a difference in the community by providing a high visibility policing service dealing with local issues by working closely with the community and partner agencies. If anyone has any queries then please do not hesitate to contact me."
