Night of fun with S4C stars
11:20am Thursday 19th April 2012 in What's On
GAME ON: Stifyn Parri and Heledd Cynwal will be bringing new S4C gameshow Sion a Siân to Glanaman this Monday.
GET ready, some of S4C’s most prominent stars will be visiting the Amman and Swansea Valleys.
On Monday, April 23, Stifyn Parri and Heledd Cynwal will be hosting a Sion a Siân (Mr and Mrs) evening at Glanaman Rugby Club, and on Tuesday, April 24, there will be a chance for the people of the Swansea Valley to compete in a quiz with some of the stars of Pobol y Cwm in a special evening at Ynystawe Cricket Club.
The new series of Sion a Siân started with its contemporary look on S4C over Easter and Stifyn Parri and Heledd Cynwal have been travelling to different areas in Wales to give the public a taste of the new game show.
There’ll be a chance for two couples from the area to compete against each other to win a cash prize on Monday, April 23, at 7.30pm.
The couples will have a chance to prove how well they know each other.
Stifyn Parri said: “I’m really looking forward for the chance to go and meet the community of the Swansea Valley. Heledd and I have had great fun filming the series and it has been fantastic to meet a number of different couples across the country. In this series, they don’t have to be married, they could be Sion and Sion or Siân and Siân, and our doors are open to couples of all ages.
“This indeed has made the series highly entertaining!”
There’ll be a chance on Tuesday, April 24, at 7.30pm to meet the actors behind some of the most well known characters of Pobol y Cwm in a special quiz with Emyr Wyn (who plays Dai Sgaffalde) keeping order as quizmaster. This is a chance for the people of the Swansea Valley to discover just how much general knowledge the cast have about life outside Cwmderi.
Ynyr Williams, the producer of Pobol y Cwm, said: “The loyal audience of Pobol y Cwm is very important to us. Meeting them at an evening full of fun is a chance to further develop the relationship.”
