The Westlife boys arrived in Cardiff on Monday to kick-off their 2011 Gravity tour.

The band didn’t just bring the family along to watch them at their best. Kian Egan’s wife Jodi Albert and her band Wonderland and Shane Filan’s brother-in-law Glenn Cal, a very talented singer songwriter from Ireland both warmed up the crowd.

The girlband could certainly belt out the hits, and the crowd was out of their seats with their new single Not a Love Song.

With the audience geared up for the Irish foursome, the boys descended from the ceiling, prompting the crowds ear drumming screams to wave across the packed out arena.

Nicky Byrne, Kian, Mark Feehily and Shane immediately had the crowd eating out of their hands, with their amazing set, that included inflatable fruit and hot air balloons plus high-energy dance routines. Songs were belted out, old and new, plus a medley of Coldplay, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and the Kaiser Chiefs.

It didn’t even matter if you had front or back row seats with the band jumping on a steel-girder style platform to elevate of the audience.

For anyone due to see future performances of the tour, you’re certainly in for a treat – and there isn’t a barstool in sight.
