LOCAL leukaemia campaigner Ryan Davies is organising a New Year Hollywood Oscar night on Thursday, December 31.
Ryan was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia in 2006 and has since been raising money for the University Hospital of Wales, Transplant Unit, which the money raised from the Oscar night will go to.
Live music will come from Orangefall, whose front man, Jason Morgan, grew up in Ammanford.
The band’s style of stadium rock, with massive guitar and thundering vocals, mixed with a tight rhythm section, makes them a must-see.
Orangefall’s strong live set captivates any audience as the mix of superbly crafted songs and their individual experience as musicians shines through.
The party will take place at Betws rugby club from 7.30pm. Get yourself a nice new frock and dig out that bow tie for a fabulous night, with midnight celebrations, Oscar awards, auction with a signed British Lions rugby jersey and signed Welsh ball up for grabs and much more.
Tickets are priced at £10, which includes a buffet and are available by contacting Ryan on 07929612042 or Betws RFC on 592551.
If any company wishes to sponsor this event they can contact Ryan on the above number. For more information on Ryan’s fundraising go to ryan4leukaemia.co.uk.
